Target Information
The growth hormone receptor (GHR) is a transmembrane protein which belongs to the Type I cytokine receptor family. GHR plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of growth hormone (GH). When GH binds to GHR, it triggers downstream signaling pathways that regulate processes such as cell growth, metabolism, and immune function. The growth hormone receptor is encoded by the GHR gene in sheep. It has been described in several tissues during pregnancy, including blastocyst, fetal tissue, placenta, and uterine epithelium.
