Immortalized porcine small intestinal primary fibroblasts are isolated from porcine small intestine and exhibited an extended lifespan compared to normal primary cells. Primary cells are immortalized by overexpressing human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT). Porcine small intestinal primary fibroblast products are utilized in various standard biochemical procedures to characterize cell products and derivatives, as well as to investigate cell-cell interactions.
