Target Information
Porcine vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1), also known as FLT-1, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in angiogenesis and vascular development. It binds to VEGF-A, PIGF, and VEGF-B, regulating endothelial cell proliferation, survival, and migration. VEGFR1 is involved in various physiological and pathological processes, including embryonic vasculature development, tumor progression, diabetic retinopathy, and wound healing. It also acts as a negative regulator of angiogenesis by limiting free VEGF-A availability.
