Target Information

Currently, three isoforms of CPT1 are identified: CPT1A, CPT1B, and CPT1C. CPT1 is associated with the outer mitochondrial membrane and can be inhibited by malonyl CoA, the first committed intermediate in fatty acid synthesis. Due to its role in fatty acid metabolism, CPT1 is significant in various metabolic disorders, including diabetes. Although there are few studies directly on the CPT1A function of rabbits, the results of other mammals can be referred to. For example, in humans and other mammals, the activity of CPT1A is regulated by a variety of factors, including gene expression, post-translational modification of proteins, and the influence of drugs or metabolites.
