Target Information

CD40 ligand is a cytokine that serves as a ligand for CD40/TNFRSF5, playing a role in costimulating T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. It is also involved in immunoglobulin class switching. In rabbits, this cytokine is encoded by the CD40LG gene. In experimental studies, CD40L is often used as a tool to study immune regulation and inflammatory responses. For example, by using rabbit-derived antibodies to detect CD40L expression, researchers are able to assess its function in in vivo and in vitro experiments
