Target Information
The ENO2 gene in rabbits encodes Neuron Specific Enolase, also known as Gamma-enolase. This enzyme is one of the three enolase isoenzymes present in mammals. This specific isoenzyme forms a homodimer and is located in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. ENO2 may be primarily associated with neural differentiation and neuronal function in rabbits, especially playing an important role in the neural differentiation of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Rabbit adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (rAT-MSCs) were found to express the neuronal markers ENO2 and MAP2, suggesting that ENO2 may have an important role in neural differentiation in rabbits.
