Target Information
Bovine trefoil factor 3 (TFF3) is a small secreted glycoprotein that is primarily produced by goblet cells in the gastrointestinal tract. It is known for its role in mucosal repair and defense, promoting wound healing and immune response within the mucosal lining. In Bovines, TFF3 contributes to maintaining the integrity of the gastrointestinal mucosa, aiding in the rapid restoration of tissue after injury, and providing a protective barrier against pathogens. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help in modulating the inflammatory response in the gut.
