Target Information
Bovine pregnancy-associated glycoprotein 1 (PAG1) is a major protein secreted by the placenta during pregnancy in cattle. It plays a critical role in immune tolerance at the maternal-fetal interface, helping to prevent the mother's immune system from rejecting the fetus. PAG1 is also used as a biomarker for early pregnancy detection and to assess the overall health of the pregnancy in cattle. This protein is essential for maintaining a successful pregnancy and can be utilized in veterinary practice for reproductive management and ensuring the well-being of both the mother and the calf.
