Target Information
Bovine transforming growth factor beta 3 (TGFB3) is a multifunctional protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and tissue repair in cattle. This protein is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily, which is known for its involvement in immune modulation, embryonic development, and tissue homeostasis. TGFB3 is particularly important for its antiproliferative effects on epithelial cells and its ability to promote extracellular matrix production, which can lead to tissue fibrosis. It also plays a crucial role in mammary gland involution, where it induces apoptosis and autophagy in Bovine mammary luminal epithelial cells.
