Target Information
In felines, CD40 Ligand (CD40LG) is an important immune-regulatory protein that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor superfamily. It is primarily expressed on activated T cells and interacts with CD40 on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) to activate B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages, promoting immune responses. CD40LG plays a key role in B cell maturation, immunoglobulin class switching, and affinity maturation. Additionally, it regulates inflammatory responses and immune cell proliferation. Abnormal expression of CD40LG may be associated with immune deficiencies and autoimmune diseases in cats.
