Target Information
Swine interferon gamma (IFNγ) is a critical cytokine in the porcine immune system, primarily produced by natural killer (NK) cells and T cells. It plays a pivotal role in the immune response against viral infections, intracellular pathogens, and also has anti-tumor properties. IFNγ enhances the antigen presentation capabilities of antigen-presenting cells, activates macrophages, and promotes the differentiation of T cells into Th1 subset, which is crucial for cell-mediated immunity. This cytokine is also involved in the regulation of inflammation and the modulation of other immune responses within pigs, contributing to their overall health and disease resistance.
