Target Information
Swine glutamate carboxypeptidase 2 (FOLH1) is an enzyme involved in the hydrolysis of glutamate-containing peptides, such as N-acetylaspartylglutamate (NAAG) in the brain, and plays a role in the regulation of neurotransmission. It is also implicated in the processing of folates, which are essential for various cellular processes including DNA synthesis and repair.
Folylpoly-gamma-glutamate carboxypeptidase (FGCP);
Glutamate carboxypeptidase II (GCPII);
Membrane glutamate carboxypeptidase (mGCP);
N-acetylated-alpha-linked acidic dipeptidase I (NAALADase I)
