Target Information
Bovine enteropeptidase is a crucial enzyme in the digestive system of cattle, responsible for the activation of trypsinogen to its active form, trypsin. This activation is essential for the further breakdown of proteins within the small intestine. Enteropeptidase specifically recognizes and cleaves the N-terminal sequence of trypsinogen, initiating the proteolytic cascade that leads to the digestion of dietary proteins.
