Swine tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11B (TNFRSF11B), also known as osteoprotegerin (OPG), is a secreted glycoprotein that modulates bone metabolism by inhibiting bone resorption. It serves as a decoy receptor for RANKL, preventing its interaction with RANK and thus suppressing osteoclast formation and activation. In swine, TNFRSF11B plays a role in immune regulation and bone homeostasis, affecting the balance between bone formation and resorption.
