Swine annexin A1 is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that belongs to the annexin superfamily. It is involved in the inhibition of leukocyte-mediated immune responses, modulation of inflammation, and regulation of cellular signaling and hormone secretion. It is also known for its role in blocking leukocyte extravasation, inducing apoptosis, and modulating cytokine synthesis.
