Target Information

Bovine primary amine oxidase, lung isozyme (L-PAO) is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of biogenic amines in cattle. It helps break down amines, which can be toxic in high concentrations, and plays a role in the detoxification process. In veterinary medicine, understanding L-PAO's function can be important for diagnosing and treating conditions related to amine metabolism, such as certain types of poisoning.
