Target Information
Chicken fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF1) is an important member of the fibroblast growth factor family (FGFs) and is involved in a wide range of processes including embryonic development, cell proliferation, and differentiation. In chickens, FGF1 is expressed in multiple tissues, including the lung, breast muscle, and thigh muscle. Studies show that FGF1 plays a crucial role in chicken embryonic development, particularly in limb bud formation and the migration of neural crest cells. Additionally, FGF1 is involved in intramuscular fat deposition in chickens, with the expression levels of FGF1 in male thigh muscle positively correlated with intramuscular fat content, while in females, the correlation is negative. These findings indicate that FGF1 is critical for growth, development, and fat metabolism in chickens.
