Target Information
Feline KH Domain-Containing RNA-Binding Protein QKI (QKI) is an RNA-binding protein involved in regulating pre-mRNA splicing, mRNA stability, and nuclear export. In cats, QKI may play a role in cellular differentiation and development, similar to its functions in other mammals. It contains a KH domain for RNA binding and QUA domains for dimerization and RNA specificity. QKI is also implicated in stress responses by modulating mRNA metabolism and sequestering transcripts into stress granules.
