Target Information
Epithelial cell adhesion molecule, also known as tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 1, is encoded by the EPCAM gene in chickens. EPCAM is known to be differentially regulated in human cancers, and it was differentially expressed by more than twofold in early- and late-stage ovarian tumor tissue specimens relative to healthy ovarian tissues in a chicken model.
