Target Information

ETNK1 kinase catalyzes the phosphorylation of ethanolamine (Et) to produce phosphoethanolamine (P-Et). P-Et is essential in the Kennedy pathway, the primary metabolic route that mammalian cells utilize to synthesize the two predominant phospholipids in the cell membrane: phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphatidylcholine (PC).
