Target Information

Monocytogenes can infect a wide range of animal species, with disease signs most commonly observed in ruminants such as cattle, goats, and sheep. 1-phosphatidylinositol phosphodiesterase cleaves glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) and phosphatidylinositol (PI) anchors but not PI phosphates. It is an important factor in pathogenesis. It may participate in the lysis of the phagolysosomal membrane.
