Target Information
Sheep interleukin 15 (IL-15) is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the development, maturation, and function of various immune cells in sheep, including natural killer (NK) cells, NKT cells, gammadelta T cells, and CD8+ T cells. It is particularly important for the homeostasis and function of B cells, as it can influence these cells through NK cell-derived IFN-gamma. IL-15 also contributes to the immune response by enhancing the number of memory CD8+ T cells and providing protection against bacterial infections
