Target Information
Sheep tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays a significant role in the immune and inflammatory responses of sheep. It is involved in the elimination of infectious agents and is critical in the pathogenesis of diseases. TNF is produced by various cell types, including macrophages and lymphocytes, and it activates several cell signaling pathways associated with cell survival, growth, and differentiation. In sheep, TNF is particularly important for its role in host defense against parasitic infections and its contribution to the regulation of immune cell functions.
