Interferon alpha is encoded by the chicken IFNA gene. It is a member of the type I IFNs, which are important antiviral cytokines of the innate immune system. It shares analogous biological and biochemical properties with mammalian interferon alpha.

User Note

  1. Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. Reconstitute in 10 mM PBS (pH 7.4) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex. Aliquote the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
