Target Information
In felines, junctional adhesion molecule A (JAM-A, also known as F11R) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily, mainly located in tight junctions of epithelial and endothelial cells, and also expressed in circulating platelets and leukocytes. JAM-A plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, tight junction formation, and signaling. It is an important regulator of epithelial tight junction assembly and is involved in processes such as leukocyte migration, platelet aggregation, and angiogenesis. JAM-A is also implicated in various diseases, including cardiovascular disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, neurological conditions, and cancers.
