Target Information
Swine bone morphogenetic protein 3 (BMP3) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily. BMP3 functions as a modulator in the BMP signaling pathway, influencing bone density and repair. In swine, it may play a role in skeletal development and could be a factor in genetic selection for improved bone quality and growth traits in breeding programs.
