Target Information
In felines, CD4 (T-cell surface glycoprotein CD4) is a 55 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed predominantly on thymocytes and a subset of mature T cells. CD4 acts as a co-receptor with the T-cell receptor (TCR) to bind MHC class II molecules, facilitating T-cell activation and immune responses. It is a key surface molecule for helper T cells (Th cells) and plays an essential role in immune cell recognition, signaling, and interactions.
