Target Information
Swine interstitial collagenase is a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP-1) that degrades interstitial collagens, particularly types I, II, and III. It plays a significant role in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and the degradation of extracellular matrix (ECM) components. In swine, it contributes to physiological processes and pathological conditions involving ECM turnover, such as fibrosis and inflammation.
