Target Information

Spermidine is a polyamine compound found in ribosomes and living tissues that has various metabolic functions within organisms. It is originally isolated from semen. It is formed from putrescine through the action of spermidine synthase (SPDS). Spermidine serves as a precursor to other polyamines, including spermine and its structural isomer thermospermine. Spermidine supplementation may help maintain a healthy hormone balance and reduce oxidative stress.
