AP1M1, also known as Adaptor Related Protein Complex 1 Subunit Mu 1, is a protein that serves as the medium chain of the trans-Golgi network clathrin-associated protein complex AP-1. This complex includes other components such as beta-prime-adaptin, gamma-adaptin, and the small chain AP1S1. Bovine AP-1 Complex Subunit Mu-1 is encoded by the AP1M1 gene in cattle. It is one of the crucial factors involved in the progression of liver cancer caused by hepatitis B virus infection.
