Target Information
Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a hormone produced by gonadotropic cells in the anterior pituitary. LH plays a crucial role in regulating processes within your reproductive system. It works in tandem with another hormone called follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Together, LH and FSH act as chemical messengers, signaling your ovaries (in individuals designated female at birth) or testes (in individuals designated male at birth) to initiate essential processes for reproductive health. Androgens have been reported to increase the percentage of extremely basic LH isohormones in the ovine pituitary.
