Target Information
CD46 complement regulatory protein also known as CD46 (cluster of differentiation 46) and Membrane Cofactor Protein is a protein encoded by the CD46 gene in cattle. CD46 serves as a cofactor for plasma serine protease factor I to cleave complement factors C3b and C4b deposited on host tissues. Research has shown that CD46 is a cellular receptor for bovine viral diarrhea virus.
