Target Information

Dynamin is a mechano-GTPase encoded by three different genes that causes membrane deformation and triggers membrane fission. Of the three dynamin isoforms, only dynamin-2 is ubiquitously expressed. DNM2 interacts with actin filaments, influencing their formation and morphology in multipolar neurons. It enhances N-cadherin levels, promoting intracellular trafficking and cell migration. Research has shown that dynamin-2 is highly expressed in bovine chromaffin cells.
