Target Information

Phosphatidylinositol-Glycan-Specific Phospholipase D (PIG-PLD), also known as Glycosylphosphatidylinositol-Specific Phospholipase D (GPLD1), is an enzyme with specific functions related to lipid metabolism and cellular signaling. Bovine Phosphatidylinositol-Glycan-Specific Phospholipase D is encoded by the GPLD1 gene in cattle. It is a 110 kDa monomeric protein found in the circulation that is capable of degrading the GPI anchor used by dozens of cell surface proteins in the presence of detergents.

Target/Biomarker Bovine GPLD1
Target Synonym glycosylphosphatidylinositol specific phospholipase D1; phosphatidylinositol-glycan-specific phospholipase D; GPI-PLD; GPI-specific phospholipase D; PI-G PLD; glycoprotein phospholipase D; glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase D
