Target Information
Retinal rod rhodopsin-sensitive cGMP 3',5'-cyclic phosphodiesterase subunit gamma is a subunit of phosphodiesterase 6, an enzyme that breaks down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the retina. It is found in the outer segment of rod photoreceptor cells in the retina. This regulates light sensitivity in rod photoreceptor cells. encoded by the bovine PDE6G gene in bovine. It has been shown to interact with Beta adrenergic receptor kinase and Src.
