Target Information
Pyridoxal Phosphate Phosphatase (PLP phosphatase), also known as pyridoxal-5'-phosphate phosphohydrolase, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in vitamin B6 metabolism. It belongs to the family of hydrolases, specifically those acting on phosphoric monoester bonds. PLP phosphatase exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer and is glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored to the renal brush border of the kidney. Bovine Pyridoxal Phosphate Phosphatase is encoded by the PDXP gene in cattle.
