Specifications
Target Information
Bovine Proactivator Polypeptide is encoded by the PSAP gene in cattle. Prosaposin serves as a precursor for four lysosomal saposin proteins: saposin A, B, C, and D. These heat-stable glycoproteins facilitate the catabolism of glycosphingolipids with short oligosaccharide groups. The PSAP gene in cattle is located on chromosome 10 and consists of 15 exons. It has been identified as the target gene of the androgen receptor (AR).
