Target Information
Ras Homolog Family Member T1 (RHOT1), also known as Miro1, is a protein involved in mitochondrial trafficking and homeostasis. It is a mitochondrial GTPase that participates in the control of anterograde transport of mitochondria and their subcellular distribution. Bovine Mitochondrial Rho GTPase 1 is encoded by the RHOT1 gene in cattle. Research has highlighted RHOT1 as a candidate gene in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's Disease.
