Target Information
Ribonuclease K6 is an endoribonuclease enzyme that cleaves RNA molecules at specific sites. RNK6 is involved in various RNA processing events, including rRNA (ribosomal RNA) maturation and tRNA (transfer RNA) splicing. It is encoded by the bovine gene RNASE6. It is a secreted protein of the ribonuclease A (RNaseA) superfamily and has a wide range of physiological functions, including digestion, cytotoxicity, angiogenesis, male reproduction and host defence.
