Target Information

SCL-70, also known as topoisomerase I antibody, is an autoantibody that targets a specific protein called topoisomerase I found primarily in the nucleus of cells. Its presence in the blood is primarily used as a diagnostic marker for a specific autoimmune disease, systemic sclerosis (SSc). The presence of SCL-70 antibodies is considered a highly specific marker for SSc, especially the diffuse cutaneous SSc subtype.
