Bovine NAD-Dependent ADP-Ribosyltransferase Sirtuin-4 is a protein with ADP-ribosyltransferase activity, modifying other proteins through the addition of ADP-ribose groups, potentially influencing their function and stability. SIRT4 is thought to be involved in various cellular processes, including mitochondrial metabolism and protein homeostasis. It is encoded by the SIRT4 gene in cattle. It is a mitochondrial sirtuin and has been shown to play a critical role in maintaining insulin secretion and glucose homeostasis.
