Target Information

Bilirubin (BR), which is also known as hematoidin, is a red-orange compound produced in the normal catabolic pathway that breaks down heme in vertebrates. In a previous research on dogs, it has been reported that the concentration of unconjugated bilirubin in plasma or its fraction of total pigments is unreliable in the discrimination of canine hepatobiliary disease from haemolytic disorders.
