Target Information

Complement component 3a (C3a) is one of the proteins formed by cleavage of complement component 3. C3a is part of the complement system, which plays a crucial role in innate immunity. It is an anaphylatoxin, which means it can trigger allergic reactions. Despite structural differences, research has shown that the biological activities of porcine and human C3a are essentially identical.
