Target Information

The Cholecystokinin A receptor (CCKAR), also known as CCK1, is a G-protein coupled receptor that binds to sulfated members of the cholecystokinin (CCK) family of peptide hormones. The cholecystokinin A receptor is encoded by the CCKAR gene in the dog. CCKAR is expressed predominantly in the gallbladder and small intestine in the digestive system, where it is responsible for the regulation of gallbladder and small intestinal motility by CCK.
