Target Information

Oxytocin (OT) is a natural hormone that controls key aspects of the female and male reproductive systems, including labour, birth and lactation. It is a peptide hormone and neuropeptide normally produced in the hypothalamus and released by the posterior pituitary gland. It plays a crucial role in maternal bonding and milk production during breastfeeding. OT is commonly used in the treatment for dystocia and uterine inertia in the bitch.
