Target Information
CD3d, also known as T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 delta chain, is a protein encoded by the chicken CD3D gene. CD3d represents the delta subunit of the CD3 complex, which, along with four other CD3 subunits, binds either TCR alpha/beta or TCR gamma/delta to form the TCR/CD3 complex on the surface of T-cells. It is a member of the subunits of CD3 responsible for signal transduction upon T cell receptor (TCR) binding. CD3d provides a functional link between the TCR-CD3 and CD8 molecules.
