Target Information

Diablo IAP-binding mitochondrial protein, also known as SMAC, is encoded by the DIABLO gene. It was reported to promote apoptosis by inhibiting IAP activity. In the mitochondria-mediated caspase-dependent apoptotic pathway, cyt-c, HtrA2/Omi, Smac/Diablo, apaf-1, PARP, and caspase-9, 3, 6, and 7 were all increased in a chicken model.

Target/Biomarker Chicken DIABLO
Target Synonym diablo IAP-binding mitochondrial protein; diablo homolog mitochondrial; diablo homolog; SMAC
Gene ID 416860
UniProt ID A0A8V1AAG0
