Target Information

Phospholipase A2 group IB is encoded by the PLA2G1B gene in horse. PLA2G1B is a secreted phospholipase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolytic removal of the sn-2 fatty acyl moiety from phospholipids. This enzyme is most abundantly produced in the pancreas and is also expressed in the lung.
