Target Information

Transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), also known as TGF-beta 1, is a polypeptide member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of cytokines. It is a multifunctional cytokine with critical roles in cell regulation, tissue repair, and disease pathogenesis. Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 is encoded by the TGFb1 gene in horses. Research has shown that transforming growth factor B1 and its receptors ALK5 and TGFR2 are expressed in the equine corpus luteum.
