Target Information
Lipoxin A4 (LXA4) is a trihydroxy fatty acid containing a conjugated tetraene. It is an endogenous lipid mediator derived from the lipoxin family. LXA4 exhibits potent anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving properties. It acts as an endogenous "braking signal" during inflammatory processes. LXA4 inhibits the proliferation of human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEKs) associated with the ERK1/2 and NF-kB pathways.
